Lay in Wait

From 2012-2015, Jonathan and Alexander labored to bring the short Lay in Wait to life. Filmed on 35mm in the mountains of the Eastern Sierras, the film is about a young married woman in the midst of an affair loses her wedding ring in the woods and must find it before the sun sets.

Lay in Wait began its festival run in 2015, where it screened at the 24th Annual Arizona International Film Festival (where it won the Prize for Best Cinematography), the 9th Annual Little Rock Film Festival, the 1st Annual Mammoth Lakes Film Festival, the 15th Annual Nickel Independent Film Festival, the 6th Annual Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festiva and the 11th Annual Hollyshorts Film Festival. Executive Produced by Lucas Neff, star of “Raising Hope” on Fox, it represents the largest undertaking by the filmmakers to date.

Meditations

Additionally, from 2010-2012, Jonathan and Alexander collaborated on “Meditations,” a narrative film series that illuminates unobserved moments of life. Written and Directed by Jonathan and Photographed by Alexander, the series has received numerous laurels from dozens of film festivals across the country.
